Sustainability
The Original Aspiration Of Exploration Begins With Protection
Making Every journey Coexist With The Earth
Our Philosophy
CORDILLERO was born out of curiosity and reverence for the world. We firmly believe that true "Brave Forward" is not only about courageously moving forward to explore the unknown, but also about protecting every piece of land we set foot on with a responsible attitude. We integrate sustainability into the entire life cycle of travel gear design, production and use — because we deeply understand that only when exploration and protection coexist can every journey have a more lasting meaning.
Core Pillars
Four core pillars to fulfill our sustainability commitment
1. Responsible Material Selection
We firmly believe that sustainable products start from the source. The selection of every material must have a clear environmental story and a reasonable reason for use, reducing the burden on the Earth from the root.
- Prioritize recycled PET fabrics for backpacks and apparel (each product recycles an average of 3-5 plastic bottles), and recycled rubber for shoe soles and accessories.
- Use FSC-certified organic cotton, linen and other natural fabrics, as well as leather processed with sustainable tanning techniques, balancing texture and environmental protection.
- Reject toxic dyes and harmful chemical additives; 100% of packaging uses recyclable cardboard or recycled pulp without additional plastic packaging.
- Prioritize material suppliers close to production bases to reduce carbon emissions during material transportation.
2. Long-Lasting Design & Circular Life Cycle
The sustainability of travel gear first lies in "long-term companionship". We abandon fast fashion thinking and take "durability, repairability, and recyclability" as the core of design to extend product life cycle and fundamentally reduce waste.
- Strengthen structural design of key parts for high-frequency use in travel scenarios to ensure products can accompany users through multiple long trips.
- Adopt modular structural design where core components can be disassembled and replaced individually; provide official repair services and accessories to encourage repair rather than replacement.
- Launch the "CORDILLERO Circular Regeneration Program" where idle products can be returned for repair, renovation, or disassembly and recycling to achieve a closed resource loop.
3. Low-Carbon Operations & Supply Chain Responsibility
We deeply understand that sustainability is not only about products themselves, but also runs through every link from production to delivery. We continuously optimize operational efficiency and promote transparency and fairness in the supply chain.
- Work with production partners to promote green factory construction, use renewable energy for power supply, optimize processes to reduce energy consumption and wastewater discharge.
- Prioritize low-carbon logistics partners, implement digital office to reduce paper consumption, and use energy-saving equipment in office spaces.
- Strictly screen supply chain partners to ensure reasonable wages and safe working conditions for workers, conduct regular audits and disclose key supply chain information publicly.
4. Protecting Travel Destinations & Communities
As a travel brand, we are committed to being guardians of travel destinations and supporters of local communities, ensuring that every exploration brings positive impacts to the local area.
- Cooperate with environmental organizations in multiple travel destinations worldwide to launch the "Leave No Trace Travel" initiative and participate in local cleaning and ecological restoration projects.
- Prioritize purchasing characteristic handmade materials from travel destinations to support the inheritance of local craftsmanship and economic development.
- Launch the "Travel with Responsibility" campaign to encourage users to practice environmentally friendly behaviors, with accumulated points redeemable for sustainable products.

Transparency & Action
Sustainability is not a slogan, but a continuous action that can be implemented, traced, and supervised. We commit to maintaining transparency, publicly disclosing our sustainability progress regularly, and accepting supervision from users and society.
2025-2028 Sustainability Goals
- Increase the utilization rate of recycled materials in core products to over 80%;
- Achieve carbon neutrality in production and operation links;
- Expand the coverage of the Circular Regeneration Program, with annual recycled used products exceeding 100,000 pieces;
- Support at least 20 environmental protection and community development projects in travel destinations.
We will release the "CORDILLERO Sustainability Report" every year, disclosing key data such as material procurement, carbon emissions, supply chain audits, and community projects in detail. Meanwhile, we actively participate in the formulation of industry sustainability standards, working with peers, environmental organizations and users to promote the green transformation of the travel industry.
